That war was an absolute slog but there's no particular strategy or trick to it - by that point you're so powerful on the land that you can take everything on the mainland and use your insane size to figure out how to beat US and UK. It then took another two years to deal with Asia, and after defeating the Axis the Allies declared war on socialist Germany within a month. They blazed through Poland / Prussia (whilst the south of the front just held against the balkans / central Europe) taking Berlin in a few months and captulating the Germans by February 1942.

When Germany declared war in June 1941 I had like 20 tank divisions ready that were ~ half and half T-34 and T-44.

It was like a 500 day research but it meant that I had ten 40 width T-54 divisions (4 Katyusha, 4 motorised, 10 Modern Tank I think?) by 1944 when the Allies declared war. I also started the T-54 straight away with the 50% bonus from Lessons of War. I started researching A-32 when the Germans were doing the Soviet Treaty Focus, followed by using the ahead of time bonus on the T-34 and the 50% bonus on the T-44. Likewise, I didn't spend much IC on forts which may have been a mistake. There might be benefit to building up infrastructure first but I figured simplicity was the way to go. Industry was entirely civilian factories up until summer 39 where I switched to military factories only. It's worth noting that if you take up the MR Pact Germany can't break it before certain dates unless they have certain forces relative to yours on the border so having tons of infantry is very important. Two armies of 24 infantry divisions on the Japanese / Manchuria border and in Europe by the time Germany attacked I had 5 or 6x24 along the border as well as two armies with a mixture of motorised and medium tanks and a third in training.

I did the Purge as the first focus, and after the SCW (where I sent some light tanks and mountaineers) I switched everything to be regular 14/4 infantry divisions.
